Jason Rastegar, a first-generation American born to parents who fled religious persecution, developed a profound appreciation for the justice-driven legal system of the United States from an early age. This foundation inspired a lifelong passion for justice, advocacy, and service to his community.

Since joining Rastegar Law Group in 2012, Jason has served as Practice Development Manager, overseeing business development, recruitment, IT systems, and legal support for attorneys.

Jason earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship, focusing on Business Law, from Loyola Marymount University, graduating cum laude. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, where he excelled in courses like Ethical Lawyering, Advertising Law, and Law Practice Management, earning three First Honors Awards.

Jason’s carries a passion for civil issues through his legal externships with two renowned nonprofit organizations: Bet Tzedek Legal Services and Legal Access Alameda. At Bet Tzedek, he was a vital contributor to the Employment Rights Project, advocating for low-wage workers’ rights to fair compensation and safe workplaces. His work included evaluating wage and hour violations, filing claims with government agencies, extracting electronic data, and researching the enforceability of arbitration agreements and minimum wage laws. At Legal Access Alameda, Jason tackled a broad spectrum of civil legal issues, collaborating with experts in Employment, Disability Discrimination, Civil Rights, Housing, and Eviction law to provide critical support to low-income Californians.

In addition to his civil litigation practice, Jason is a licensed California Bureau of Real Estate Agent specializing in commercial property management and acquisitions since 2016. He serves as In-House Counsel for five property management firms/ownership groups. In 2024, he represented the buyer in the acquisition of a 3.53-acre shopping center in Norwalk, California—a transaction valued at over $12.4 million, making it the city’s largest retail transaction since 2021.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Jason enjoys playing basketball, cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers, engaging in advancements in technology, and volunteering at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
